DAY 01

PLACE OF ORIGIN – LIMA

Arrival at scheduled time. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 02

LIMA – CUSCO (CITY TOUR)

Transfer from hotel in Lima to the airport. Arrival in Cusco, transfer to the hotel and briefing. In the afternoon we will enjoy a walking City tour of Cusco.

DAY 03

SACRED VALLEY TOUR

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel and we will start the tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon we will go back to Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 04: LARES 01

CUSCO – CANCHA CANCHA

Early in the morning we will leave Cusco in our private transportation through the sacred valley for about an hour and a half until we get to Huaran (9514ft). Our walk starts here in this beautiful valley. After more than 4 hours walking we will see the snowy peaks of Cancha Cancha House (16351ft) and Chicon (18143ft). We will know that we have reached the first camp when we see the typical stone houses of the community Cancha Cancha (12795ft).

DAY 05: LARES 02

CANCHA CANCHA – QUISUARANI

Some time after starting our hike, we will see two brilliant glacial lakes, Suirococha and Yuraccocha, where we can see variety of birds like the ibis and Andean geese. From this point,
the road begins to climb steeply until the first step called Pachacutec (15419ft). Upon reaching the top we will enjoy a spectacular view of the snowy Pitusiray(18864ft) and Chicon (18143ft). An original Inca stone path will take us along a descending corridor. We will follow a series of waterfalls until we get to Quisuarani community where we will camp.

DAY 06: LARES 03

QISUARANI – CUNCANI – LARES

After breakfast, we will begin our trek to the highest point of the puna, the opening of Huillquicasa (14435ft). From this high mountain we can see the Cordillera Vilcanota and some
gaps. The well-marked path zigzags down to the green pastures, where we can observe: llamas, alpacas, sheep, Andean birds and the unique Peruvian vizcacha. After we will continue descending until we reach the quaint community of Cuncani (12139ft) where we have a break. The road follows the river through the valley below for about 3 hours, entering into a tropical climate. The small farms and communities will be a sign that we are near the Trapiche community. And finally we will find the medicinal thermal baths of Lares (10170ft). A relaxing bath is the best way to relax tired bodies after this challenging trek.

DAY 07: LARES 04

LARES – OLLANTA STATION – MACHU PICCHU VILLAGE

On this day our private transport will be waiting for us to take us back to Ollantaytambo where we will board our train heading to Machu Picchu Village. Welcome and transfer from the train station to the hotel. Rest of the day free to perform personal activities.

DAY 08: LARES 05

MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO 

In the morning, we can take the first bus up to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. After having an interesting guided tour of 2 hours around the archeological complex, you will have some free time to continue exploring the place on your own (optional climb of Huayna Picchu mountain aprox. 40 to 50 minutes). Return back to Machu Picchu Vilage. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco.

DAY 09

CUSCO FREE

We will have the day free to perform various personal activities and visit different typical markets and museums in the city. At night we will attend a traditional dances show.

DAY 10

CUSCO – LIMA (CITY TOUR)

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Domestic flight to Lima. Arrived in the capital and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we will enjoy a city tour.

DAY 11

LIMA – PLACE OF DESTINATION

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport
